THREE Harlow Running Club athletes battled the heat and a tough course to complete the Ashdon 10km cross country race on Bank Holiday Monday.
Although the course was slightly longer than advertised - 10.68km - Jamie Luck led the way with a flat time of 48mins.
He was closely followed by Jon Steadman, who finished in 49mins 31secs, and Ron Luck, who completed the course in 1hr 1min 34secs.
