HARLOW: Two arrested over cannabis plants

TWO men, aged 19 and 26, were arrested after police officers raided a flat in Moor Tower, in Harlow, which was suspected to be used to cultivate cannabis.

Information given by members of the public to Harlow Council anti-social behaviour enforcement officers prompted joint partnership working to gain a warrant to search the premises.

About 100 plants, suspected to be cannabis, growing in various stages were seized. Two Harlow men arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis have been bailed to report tot Harlow Police Station on Friday, August 1.

Detective Sergeant Steve Nelson said: "Communities are our eyes and ears and we rely on their information. It's important the police and communities work together to combat this type of activity.

"Neighbours and residents who see or feel there may be suspicious activity in their area should call us. Every observation of suspicious activity is important to us to ensure we keep our neighbourhoods safe and free of crime."
