STANSTED AIRPORT: Police office opened at terminal

A NEIGHBOURHOOD police office has opened at Stansted Airport.

The office, opposite zone G in the terminal, is manned between 1pm and 3pm each day by members of the neighbourhood policing team who spend the majority of their time on high visibility patrol in and around the airport.

The office is clearly signed but it is intended to be a place where people can to talk to officers about any concerns or problems.

Chief Inspector Mark Schofield said: "It gives us even more opportunities to speak to the public about any local issues at the airport.

"We hope the office will be another tool to help us continue to keep the airport safe and we look forward to meeting the people who make up the Stansted Airport community, from airport staff to visitors to the UK and those travelling aboard.

"The aim our work at Stansted Airport is to make it a safer place to travel, visit or work."
