BISHOP'S STORTFORD: Seventh person charged in triple killings case

A SEVENTH person is due before Stevenage magistrates today charged in connection with the killing of three men in Bishop's Stortford last August.

Barry Spinks, 21, of Bridgend Road, Enfield, is charged with one count of assisting an offender between Monday, August 27, and Thursday ,August 30 last year.

Spinks is the seventh person to be charged over the deaths of Matthew Cowell, 17, his father Keith Cowell, 52, and 33-year-old Tony Dulieu, from Billericay.

They were shot dead in the Cowell family home in Plaw Hatch Close on Tuesday, August 28 last year.

Keith's sister Christine Jennings, 54 and Matthew’s 23-year old girlfriend Claire Evans were stabbed during the incident.

Kevan Thakrar, 21 of Lomond Way, Stevenage, and Miran Thakrar, 24, of no fixed address, are both charged with three counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Jay Thakrar, 25, of Lomond Way, Stevenage, faces two charges of assisting an offender while their father Atul Thakrar is charged with one count of assisting an offender.

Amanda Dansie, 21 of High Street, Buntingford, and Yilay Tufensoy, 20, of Nags Head Road, Enfield, are both charged with assisting an offender.
