BISHOP'S Stortford Running Club is to celebrate its 25th year with an open 10km event on Sunday, June 8.
The event will be held on a new multi-terrain course on a virtually traffic-free route of country roads and farm tracks.
There will be a cut off time of 1hr 15mins for competing in the event.
Entry fees are £8 attached, £10 unattached, and £10 entry on the day. T-shirt will be handed out to all finishers.
Entry forms are available at the club's website - www.bsrc.org.uk - or at local sports facilities. Closing date for postal entries is June 2.
- Meanwhile, three club members took part in two different marathon events on Sunday.
Jo Hewitt competed in her first marathon at Lochaber, Fort William in Scotland on Sunday.
In hot and sunny conditions and over an undulating course, she finished in a good time of 4hrs 23mins 24secs.
Elsewhere, two members competed in the Rotary Shakespeare Marathon in Stratford Upon Avon.
Ian Rodgers finished in 3hrs 29mins 15secs and Eleanor Cowan in 4hrs 44secs.
