SOUTHEND United have become the latest big-name club to announce a pre-season visit to Barrows Farm.
Ricky Duncan, the head of youth at the Coca-Cola League One play-off contenders, has promised to send a Blues XI to face Harlow Town on Saturday, July 19, three days before the Hawks are due to host League Two outfit Barnet.
Duncan was responsible for sending James Lindie, Rhys Henry and David Obaze out to Barrows Farm on loan in the latter stages of the season, and he hinted that part of the trio could well feature for the Roots Hall side in the friendly.
Duncan told the official Harlow Town FC website: "Rhys and James are strong possibilities to play. That's part of the reason we wanted to play the game.
"Obviously we (Southend) have had players at Harlow this season and having seen the good facilities, it's a good opportunity for the further development of some of our younger players from our point of view."
Ticket prices will be similar to the Barnet friendly on July 22, with adults admitted for £5 and concessions for £2.50.
Harlow will reinforce the popular Kids for a Quid scheme for the occasion.
