Stefan leads the way in Rye House victory

Rye House 59
Mildenhall 33

(Premier Trophy)

RYE House enjoyed an excellent Bank Holiday Monday with a convincing win over Mildenhall.

With a number of their fixtures already called off at the start of this season, the hosts would have been pleased to have finally got some action underway at Hoddesdon.

Led by a 12-point haul from Stefan Ekberg, Rye House never looked in trouble, despite a 12-point return from Mildenhall's Jan Graversen.

Chris Neath and Luke Bowen got the Rockets off to a flyer with a 5-1 in the opening heat, and John Sampford's men never looked back as they secured five more 5-1's on the bounce to take control.

Tai Woffinden provided the main support on the day with 11 points.

The Rockets are back in action tonight (Wednesday), when they face King's Lynn in the Premier Trophy, before hosting the return leg on Saturday.
