Michelle said: "Music has always been a big part of my life. It allows me to investigate my emotions."

Performing under the stage name Sahara C, Michelle's original song Goodbye Playa' reached a semi-final position in the highly-acclaimed UK Songwriting Contest 2007'.

Michelle currently performs at various functions including dinner and dance events and talent showcases.

She is now working in the studio on her first single No Tomorrow.

Michelle , who balances her time between her music, her learning and her two children, said: "I'd love to be able to record albums professionally.

"Music is definitely a career I love. I enjoy my gift."

The winners will get a recording contract, with up to £20,000 investment in their single from Future Music.

Michelle will be performing at the semi-finals at Ashcroft Theatre, Fairfields, Croydon, on March 16. Tickets cost £6 and are available from Michelle at saharacee@gmail.com
