Should you sleep with someone on the first night or not? It’s the age old question.

The rules say no but I have met many a happy couple who ‘went for it’ and stayed together. If I am honest on most occasions I would suggest not, as most chance meetings especially if they are alcoholic meetings can go one stage further for all the wrong reasons. Of course if you are stone cold sober, you meet someone, you are not on the rebound or in an emotional state then why not.

A recent poll run by www.countrysidelove.co.uk discovered that although Essex girls are renowned for putting the Sex into Es-sex, the notorious Essex Girl is actually LEAST likely to bed a new partner on a first date.

Just one in five single Essex girls will get passionate on the first night, with a huge 80 per cent making their men wait.

The findings - from dating website shatter the myth that Essex Girls are easy.

Countrysidelove.co.uk spokesman Mike O’Brien said: “Everyone thinks Essex Girls are blonde, busty man-eaters. But our survey shows they are the most traditional women in the UK.

“Four in five make a new partner wait before getting passionate, some for more than six months!

Strangely in a survey that Gorgeousnetworks.com ran last year it was discovered that over 90 per cent of men think it right that women should wait, even if the guys actually wanted to go to first base they said overwhelmingly they preferred a woman who held out and made them wait.

Then the fear is always if you really hit the spot with someone you meet and don’t show them how great you are between the sheets the chances are they won’t call again and you would have missed your chance.
