Q. I am looking to purchase bath taps in chrome which can be side mounted into anold roll-top bath. I would prefer taps with a shower attachment if possible.

A. Manufacturers of the type of bath taps you are after include: Barber Wilsons & Co (www.barwil.co.uk), Bristan (www.bristan.com) and Lefroy Brooks (www.lefroybrooks.com). Their ranges are available through good bathroom showrooms like Aston Matthews (www.astonmatthews.co.uk) or Edwins (www.crye.co.uk). Make sure you order a brochure from each of these companies to compare the look and price and study the technical specifications to determine if you could use each particular tap set on your bath. Most of these companies could also provide 'legs' for the tap set, so that the taps would be suspended from the floor, rather than fixed to your bath.

If there are already holes in the bath you should speak to your plumber before ordering to be sure you could use the tap set with your particular bath.

Q. I am trying to track a particular wallpaper that I hope - rather than know - exists. It should be green on ivory (or vice versa) in an oriental or arts and crafts inspired design of bamboo - the plant rather than the wood.

A. This sound like ‘Willow Bough’ by William Morris. Authentic reproductions of his original designs are sold by Morris & Co. Check out www.william-morris.co.uk to see this particular pattern.

This invaluable online directory features a large database of more than 3,500 companies covering all aspects of interior and garden design and decoration. It’s the essential resource both for professionals and for the general public.
