Q. I would like to get rid of my net curtains. I’ve seen frosted window film and was wondering who supplies it?
A. Opaque adhesive vinyl film is becoming really popular as it offers privacy, is easy to install and is a fraction of the cost of etched glass. Brume supplies a wide range of smart contemporary designs, including frosted, coloured, spotted, or striped versions (they can be cut to size to your measurements). See www.brume.co.uk.
Purlfrost also do Victorian and Art Deco designs, as well as reflective solar film, blackout film, clear UV protection film, frosted and coloured film. www.purlfrost.com
Q. I have recently purchased a new circular bed from IKEA. I'm finding it very hard to find a duvet that is circular. I've browsed the internet for some time now and I'm having no luck.
A. Bespoke Bedlinens will be able to provide the duvet, but they can also supply the bed linen to go with it. They custom-make bedlinen in a range of textiles or your own fabric, and for beds of any shape and size (including caravan or boat beds). www.bespokebedlinens.co.uk
Q. I’m a set-builder and am looking for good sources of metallic paint finishes and fabrics.
Can you help?
A. Check out the huge range of metallic fabrics at B.Brown. This company has been supplying display fabrics since 1934. Their ranges includes lots of fabrics which simulate brushed steel, aluminium and corrugated metal. Look them up via www.bbrown.co.uk.
You could also try Ray Munn (www.raymunn.com) which imports the Swedish Beckers range of 'Decor Metall' paint. Finally, Architectural Textiles supplies authentic Japanese gold, silver and copper leaf wallcoverings in 22 shimmering colours (www.architecturaltextiles.co.uk).
This invaluable online directory features a large database of more than 3,500 companies covering all aspects of interior and garden design and decoration. It’s the essential resource both for professionals and for the general public.

It claims to be one of the most comprehensive websites about window film.
I have used them to film my conservatory, which has been very successful. It is now my favourite room in the house.
