The Darjeeling Limited (15)
A Typically offbeat comedy from director Wes Anderson, whose previous work such as The Life Aquatic and The Royal Tenenbaums has endeared him to critics, if not a very wide audience.
This is a slight but amusing tale of three brothers who haven't spoken to each other for a year and embark on a train journey across India to find themselves' and bond. As you might guess, exactly the opposite happens as old rivalries and new uncertainties surface against the colourful background of the Indian landscape.
Owen Wilson leads the Whitman brothers as the eldest Francis, who doesn't look his best after a motorbike accident that's left him hobbling around with his face in bandages.
Adrien Brody is middle brother Peter, who has a wife with a child on the way, and domestic problems that he doesn't want to talk about. The third brother, Jack, is played by co-writer Jason Schwartzman, a writer whose family has been used as the basis for characters in his novels and who takes a fancy to a train hostess.
If you've liked Anderson's stuff in the past, the chances are this family comedy will please you too.
