A RANGE of cycling-related activities have been organised by Harlow Council to help local people rediscover the fun of cycling.
Harlow Council, through events such as National Bike Week (June 14 to 22), is committed to encouraging people to adopt healthier lifestyles, enjoy the environment and reduce traffic congestion.
Harlow Council sports development officer Helen Offord said: "Summer is the perfect time to put away the car keys, get out in the fresh air and get some exercise.
"Bike Week events provide the opportunity for those who haven't cycled for a while to join in some organised rides. Hopefully it will also encourage more regular cyclists to try something a little more challenging."
Bike Week CTC volunteer John Curry said: "Plenty of parents have forgotten how much fun cycling was as a child. We want this year's Bike Week to revive those memories and act as a catalyst for families to spend more quality time together."
