Spurs boss Ramos 'would love to sign Ronaldinho'

SPURS boss Juande Ramos has revealed he would love to bring two-time World Player of the Year Ronaldinho to White Hart Lane.

It would be sensational coup for the Spaniard if he could sign the 28-year-old Brazilian from Barcelona.

The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder is believed to be unhappy with life at the Camp Nou where he has struggled to discover the form that saw him crowned the best player in the world in both 2005 and 2006.

And Tottenham manager Ramos sees Ronaldinho as the perfect name to help him attract the best players to the north London club as he sets about trying to bring a new era of success to the Lane next season.

Despite Ronaldinho's dip in form this season, Spurs would likely still have to pay Barcelona a sizable transfer fee for a player they signed in 2003 for £21million.

But that certainly wouldn't deter Ramos from making what would probably be seen as the biggest signing in Tottenham's 126-year history.

"The big players fit into any team, including Tottenham and Ronaldinho would fit in every respect," Ramos told Sky Sports News.

Could Spurs really secure the services of Ronaldinho at White Hart lane next season? Have your say below...

We get linked with many top players every transfer window, very few come off, but it wouldn't surprise me. Every now and then Spurs sign a truly world class player like Klinsmann, Ginola, Gazza etc and get all the headlines for a few months.

I think this is a comment that has been blown out of proportion.. Ramos says he admires a player.. 10 mins later and he's going to be signing for spurs! On the other hand the spurs do sometimes pull off suprises! It would be great for the EPL and spurs if it ever ever happened. Coys

We never sign world class players but we should for a change and we will move up the league.

Berbatov is a world class player, as were Klinsman, Gazza Lineker and Hoddle.

Ronaldinho is a delight to watch and would be a welcome addition to the Lane, but I would rather the money was spent on securing Tottenham's defense for next year.
