Spurs set to swoop for Russian striker

MEDIA reports suggest Spurs could be lining up a move for Lokomotiv Moscow striker Dmitri Sychev.

The 24-year-old former Marseille frontman has scored 14 times in 37 appearances for Russia and has similar strike-rate at club level with 39 goals in 101 games.

In fact he is known in his homeland as the Russian Michael Owen, because of his pace.

Sychev prefers to operate as an out-and-out striker, although can also play a supporting role just behind a main frontman.

Tottenham are likely to face plenty of competition though for the former Spartak Moscow forward if they do make a move for him this summer.
