Bent happy to stay and fight for his Spurs future

SUPER sub Darren Bent has vowed to fight on for his Spurs future after helping them secure a 2-0 victory over Portsmouth.

The clubs £16.5million record signing came off the bench at White Hart Lane to head home the opener on 80 minutes, before setting up fellow sub Jamie O'Hara for the second.

And Bent, who has found his chances limited behind regular frontline pairing Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov was delighted to score his seventh goal of the season.

Reports though have suggested that Tottenham manager Juande Ramos would be prepared to listen to offers for the 24-year-old in the summer, although the player himself only seems concerned about his future with the north London club.

"I have made a few substitute appearances this season but for me it's just nice to go on and do something and change the game," Benttold the Mail.

"There's no point in sulking and coming on to the pitch and not doing anything.

"You've got to keep trying and see what happens."
